NTU's Involvement in the Aviation Sub-Sector
NTU is highly involved in adapting to the current aviation market challenges and implementing a range of projects in the civil aviation sub-sector around the world and focuses on establishing functional, safe, affordable, sustainable, reliable, and efficient air transport.
We assist clients in aviation safety and security, environmental sustainability and compliance, airworthiness, ICAO audits, the establishment of Civil Aviation Authorities and Directorates, procurement of civil aviation equipment and technical, organisational and managerial training of civil aviation professionals at all levels, market and economic regulation, production and certification, aircraft operations, air traffic management and air navigation services, and accident and incident investigation among others. NTU has been supporting the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and Eurocontrol since 2007 in activities related to Air Traffic Management, Air Navigation Services, Helicopter Emergency Medical Services and Aviation Environmental Database Management Systems. In addition to technical services, NTU is actively contributing to carbon-neutral aviation goals, assisting in mitigating the impact of climate change from civil aviation through delivering services such as support to the analysis of the production of sustainable aviation fuel and waxes, environmental database management system development, training and awareness raising activities, project management assistance and capacity building.
We actively work to offer harmonised legal, economic, and regulatory frameworks, align with the best international standards and regulations, and include cutting-edge tools based on data-driven insights to improve traffic management and security. NTU is an expert in implementing management systems, planning and development studies and has a vast experience in the aviation market liberalisation, and the elaboration of capacity development and training programmes.
