As part of the European Investment Bank’s Economic Resilience Initiative (ERI) supporting sustainable infrastructure and cultural heritage development in the Western Balkans, NTU International A/S is proud to announce a new 17-month assignment with a budget of €280,000. The assignment will support the Ministry of Economy, Culture and Innovation of Albania and the National History Museum through the update of environmental and social studies, preparation of procurement documentation, and institutional capacity-building activities supporting the rehabilitation and modernization of the National History Museum in Tirana.

This initiative further strengthens NTU’s growing portfolio of cultural heritage, urban development, and institutional capacity-building assignments financed by international financial institutions.

Specific Objectives:

• Strengthen the capacity of the Project Implementation Unit (PIU) through targeted capacity-building activities, governance procedures, and ongoing technical support.
• Prepare Environmental and Social Management Plans, Stakeholder Engagement Plans, and related environmental and social instruments in line with EIB Environmental and Social Standards.
• Update the Cultural Heritage Management Plan to support the protection, conservation, restoration, relocation, and reintegration of museum artefacts during project implementation.
• Develop procurement strategies, procurement plans, and tender documentation for project management support services, supervision services, and restoration works.
• Enhance institutional knowledge and capacity in environmental and social management, cultural heritage management, procurement, and project implementation practices.
