Bringing together researchers, policymakers, land managers, practitioners and other stakeholders from across Europe, the conference provides an important platform to exchange knowledge and explore practical solutions for protecting and restoring Europe’s soils. For NTU, the discussions around sustainable agriculture, soil biodiversity, soil pollution, carbon farming, sustainable land management and resilient food systems are particularly relevant. Healthy soils are fundamental not only to ecosystems and climate resilience, but also to productive agriculture and long-term food security. The conference also highlights the importance of moving from research and innovation towards practical solutions that can be implemented on the ground, including through European projects and Living Labs. As part of our work supporting DG AGRI in the implementation of the EU Mission “A Soil Deal for Europe”, NTU is proud to contribute to this growing community working towards healthier soils and a more sustainable future for Europe. 🌍
