Lot 7: Micro-Economic Analysis, Investment Climate, Private Sector, Trade and Employment

SEA 2023 Lot 7 covers seven sectors, namely: Public policies, promoting sustainable and inclusive economic development, with a focus on improving the investment climate, fostering private sector growth, empowering marginalised groups; Statistics and indicators, related to the investment climate, business environment, employment standards, and macroeconomic performance, aligned with sustainable development goals (SDGs); Financiers, focusing on enhancing the contributions of private sector investors, local financial markets, banks, microfinance institutions, and export credit agencies to economic growth and development; Legal, institutional and procedural issues, ensuring compliance with international labour standards, and fostering efficient supplier markets and responsible business operations; Private sector, aimed at fostering investment, supporting SMEs, improving business environments; Employment creation and labour standards, improving workforce participation, fair wages, social dialogue, decent work conditions, and skills development, while addressing both current and future challenges in the labour market; and Trade, promoting effective trade policies and regional integration, focusing on reducing barriers, supporting sustainable trade, and enhancing market access. 

Our horizontal services provide comprehensive support in key areas to ensure effective policy development, project implementation and knowledge sharing. We provide policy support, including analysis, EU policy alignment and multi-stakeholder dialogue to promote effective decision-making. Project and intervention support ranges from programming and strategic design to practical implementation, such as integration of EU priorities, support for EFSD+ and legal and regulatory analysis. NTU also provides analytical and technical expertise, offering data-driven insights, intervention cycle management and specialised scientific input. Finally, our knowledge management services improve communication, capacity building and dissemination of best practice through training, public engagement and high-impact events.
