The EIB finances sustainable energy projects worldwide to help reduce emissions and lower energy costs by supporting clean energy initiatives and innovative solutions that contribute to a cleaner, greener planet for future generations.
At NTU International, we bring extensive experience in various areas of the energy transition and are proud to have been awarded the EIB FWC Energy Sector 2024. This Framework Contract, financed by the EIB, focuses on key areas such as energy supply, enabling infrastructure, energy efficiency, innovation and emerging energy technologies. It covers all stages of the project cycle, from project assessment, preparation, procurement, and implementation support, to project monitoring and verification, horizontal studies, advisory services, capacity building, knowledge creation and dissemination.
In detail, the activities to be carried out under this FWC include:
- Cost-benefit analysis (including demand and options analysis, financial and economic analysis, and risk assessment);
- Environmental and social impact assessment;
- Climate risk and vulnerability assessment;
- Technical, economic, financial, procurement, environmental and social appraisal and monitoring of projects;
- Acting as EIB’s observer in evaluation committee panels, contract management, and financial engineering;
- Provision of specific energy engineering and economics expertise to undertake specific studies or research, incl. rapid interventions;
- Monitoring of project implementation process and physical works progress;
- Monitoring of compliance with applicable regulations and procedures (environmental, procurement, financial);
- Preparation of strategies, policies, plans, studies, sector advice and guidance on regulatory matters;
- Design and delivery of training modules, programmes and vocational training;
- Guidance documents and other training material preparation.
Sustainable Development Goals
As we provide communication services for a wide range of EU and EIB projects, our work is inherently linked to all the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). By supporting visibility, outreach and stakeholder engagement across different sectors - such as climate action, education, infrastructure and economic development - we help amplify the impact of these initiatives.
Global Impact
The EIB FWC Energy Sector 2024 drives sustainable energy solutions, leading towards the transition to a low-carbon economy. As a result, carbon emissions are reduced and climate resilience is promoted worldwide.
