European Scholarships Fairs in Paraguay

European Scholarships Fairs in Paraguay

NTU annually supports the EU Delegation to Paraguay with the organisation of the European Scholarships Fair under the project  “Strategic Communication services to the EU Delegation to Paraguay”, from 2023 to 2026. The goal of the event is to showcase the opportunities offered by the Erasmus+ Programme, with the support of Team Europe members and European institutions established in Paraguay, focusing on higher education opportunities.

The campaign carried out for the event is part of the action aimed at positioning the training opportunities offered by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union, as well as the academic offers of the member states of Team Europe in Paraguay (Germany, Spain, Italy and France). It also promotes what can be offered by European countries through their regional offices (Romania, Finland, Austria and Sweden).

Implementation

The European Scholarship Fair Campaign has been entirely created by NTU team, including concept, design, content creation and combined digital strategy (organic and advertised posts). The online launch through social networks took place in October 2024, in the framework of the celebration of the ‘Erasmus Days’ at global level. The public relations campaign included journalists, media outlets, and influencers, among other opinion leaders. It was launched days prior to the official presentation of the second edition of the European Scholarship Fair, taking place on 21st November. The campaign was based on a plan shared by the EU and Team Europe in a press conference, led by the ambassadors of the EU Member States in Paraguay.

In 2023, the event took place on 2nd November, and was hosted at the German Cultural Institute Goethe Zentrum in Asunción. It included workshops and inspiring talks by former Erasmus+ scholarship recipients. The event also featured prominent figures from 8 European Member States, including the French and German ambassadors to Paraguay, who presented the opportunities available in their respective countries. Cultural exchange was also ensured by live music and a display of European gastronomy. Promotional and visibility materials were produced for the event.

To evaluate the event, NTU developed a survey using Typeform, and the insights gathered were utilised to enhance the organisation of the Scholarship for the following year. During the event, posters with a QR code were displayed  for people to scan and fill out the survey.
