NTU International has officially launched the EU–Brazil Critical Raw Materials (CRM) Support Project, marking the beginning of its three-year implementation period from August 2025 to August 2028. Funded by the European Union, the project aims to strengthen cooperation between the EU and Brazil in line with the EU–Brazil Strategic Partnership, the Global Gateway Investment Agenda, and the EU Critical Raw Materials Act.

Through this initiative, NTU will support the EU in fostering strategic engagement with Brazilian partners and developing an integrated approach to sustainable CRM collaboration. Over the course of the project, NTU will assist in defining and implementing a comprehensive strategy for CRM cooperation, while facilitating dialogue among public authorities, private sector actors, and research institutions. The work will also include in-depth mapping and analysis of Brazil’s mining sector to identify strategic investment opportunities and potential areas for sustainable growth.

As part of the project’s early activities, NTU participated in the Invest Mining Summit 2025, held on 22 October 2025 in São Paulo oganised with the support of the The Brazilian Mining Association (IBRAM). The event brought together more than 400 participants from mining companies, investors, consultancies, and government institutions. Through panels on mineral-sector business opportunities and strategic investment pathways, the summit strengthened ties between the mining industry and financial stakeholders — setting the stage for sustainable CRM development in Brazil.

Looking ahead, NTU International will continue to promote EU–Brazil cooperation at upcoming events, including Exposibram 2025, scheduled for 27–30 October 2025. This participation will further advance dialogue and partnership in the critical minerals sector, reinforcing the EU’s Global Gateway commitment to sustainable and inclusive investment.
