Implementation of EIB financed project

NTU is implementing the Technical Assistance Project - Support to the Project Implementation Unit (PIU) of the Department of Civil Aviation of Malawi, financed by the European Investment Bank.

The EIB funded components, which this TA operation supports, comprises the replacement of the safety and security related equipment at both airports in addition to the completion of building and infrastructure work.

Finalization of Inception Phase

NTU International is supporting the PIU within the Department of Civil Aviation of Malawi in good execution of the EIB funded components, by establishing suitable controls and organizational systems in order to ensure effective preparation, procurement, supervision and completion of the project in the next 2 years.

After the mobilisation Process, the project implementation began in the field mid-August and at the moment, NTU has set up a project office in Lilongwe at the premises of the Ministry of Transport and Public Works. NTU’s team has finalised the Inception Phase of the project and submitted the first report to the European Investment Bank.
