Launch of 1st Call for Proposals - Ukraine Public Buildings Energy Efficiency project

We here at NTU International A/S are excited to share a major development in the Ukraine Public Buildings Energy Efficiency project. As of this week, the Ukrainian Ministry of Development of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure has officially announced the first Call for Proposals under the UPBEE Program, open between the period  April 3 to June 3, 2023 inclusive.
The program is aimed primarily at small and medium-sized communities that have not previously had the experience of implementing large-scale international projects on thermal modernization.

With this Announcement, Ukrainian municipalities are invited to apply for much needed financial assistance for the thermal refurbishment of public buildings (e.g. insulation of facades, roofs, basement floors, installation of energy-efficient windows and entrance doors, meters and energy consumption control systems, modernization of heating, ventilation and lighting systems, etc.)
In addition to energy efficiency measures, the financial assistance will include repairs to public buildings damaged as a result of military operations, and projects to adapt buildings to accommodate internally displaced persons.

NTU will continue to provide assistance in developing the capacities of the Promoter and final beneficiaries to effectively plan, select, operate, monitor, and learn from the sub-projects to be financed under the Loan.

We continue to stand with the people of Ukraine in these trying times, and we will continue to support them through our project and beyond.

This EIB led project involves the EU, the UNDP, the Covenant of Mayors and the Ukrainian government.
