The feasibility study of the "Sustainable Mobility Planner" shows promising results

NTU has successfully completed the feasibility study for the Horizon 2020 "Sustainable Mobility Planner – Phase 1" project. The SMP is a specialized innovative IT software (tool), created in order to enable environmental, economic and social impact assessments of sustainable transport, mobility and urban planning initiatives undertaken by municipalities. The results of the feasibility study, identifying a large potential European market (municipalities > 50.000 inhabitants), has been integrated in the work plan for the future development and will thus be included as a part of the Phase II of the project. The main objective of the second phase is to successfully market launch the SMP, which it is foreseen to lead to high growth in business. The feasibility study represents the main deliverable for phase 1 of the Sustainable Mobility Planner (SMP) under the "small business and fast track innovation for transport" program under Horizon 2020. With this submission, the project has been executed, fulfilling all the objectives of the project during six months.
