NTU wins EUROPEAID project in Jordan, Technical Assistance to Support the Ministry of Transport in the Development of Short, Medium and Long-term Transport Policy and Strategy, Train Ministry Staff in the Process and Review the MoT Organisation
NTU will undertake a review of the recently developed National Transport Policy and Strategy 2008 – 2010 and for each sector: advise on what changes or additions might be made in order to strengthen the document; identify the critical success factors that are contained (explicit or implicit) in the strategy; develop action plans on how staff within the MoT will work oversee the implementation of the strategy through: influence over the institutions, operators and other stakeholders; monitoring and evaluation of results against the critical success factors identified above; identify gaps and weaknesses in the available information and defining that which the Ministry should seek to collect in future in order to improve data from which future policy and strategy decisions will be made.
