NTU’s team has successfully completed the project "Support to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development on the development of a sustainable Aquaculture in Israel".
The main purpose of this assignment was to draft a clear and concise Twinning Fiche for the development of sustainable aquaculture in Israel necessary for launching of institutional Twinning projects. After all the activities planned under this assignment were completed, one Twinning Fiche was drafted for execution with Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, MARD, the beneficiary institution of the Twinning project. Throughout the mission implementation, various working meetings were conducted with the beneficiary institutions, with MARD officers and with other aquaculture stakeholders, in order to share information as well as the contents of the Twinning Project Fiches. The Technical Assistance Team has also carefully analysed the relevant EU Acquis as well as the transposition and implementation measures effective in the EU Member States in order to compare the gaps and find appropriate and optimal solutions in the Twinning Fiche. Best practices in the EU Member States have also been analysed in order to ensure feasibility of the activity plan developed in the Twinning Fiche.
