NTU awarded with EU funded project Evaluation of the Support to the Association Agreement Programme I & II

NTU will be in charge of the final evaluation of the two programmes for the Government of Jordan: Support to the Association Agreement Programme (SAAP) I & II. The main goals of the SAAP programmes were to aid the Government of Jordan (GoJ) to: · Improve the capacity of the government to face and comply with the provisions of the EU-Jordan Association Agreement, as well as other bilateral and multilateral agreements; · Facilitate the harmonization of domestic legislation with EU and international regulatory framework, as foreseen under the Jordan-EU Association Agreement; · Enhance the efficiency, quality and capacity of those administrations involved in the implementation of the Jordan-EU Association Agreement; · Facilitate future negotiations in the course of implementation of the Agreement. NTU’s evaluation will provide the decision-makers in the government of Jordan with the relevant external cooperation services of the European Union and the wider public with sufficient information to: · Make an overall objective and independent assessment about the past performance of the project, paying particularly attention to the impact of the project actions against its objectives; · Identify key lessons and to propose practical recommendation for the follow up actions.
