The overarching goal is to improve the role and contribution of the Zambia transport sector towards economic growth and poverty reduction through transformational policy objectives and strategies. The objective of the assignment is to provide professional support to the Ministry of Transport, Works, Supply and Communication in the preparation of a revised transport sector policy that is aligned to Zambia’s domestic, regional and international mandates and which will improve Zambia’s competitiveness. Pivotal to the success of this objective is a review and rationalization of institutional structures and capacity for effective sector oversight and the inclusion of policy objectives that will promote an environment for efficient policy and strategy implementation.
